Peruvian Butterfly

This started out with a piece of pretty, blue material with shadows of dolphins and sea life. While listening to the Climate Talks in December of 2009, it quickly became a butterfly, on a green bush background, with lots of Indigenous pieces of cloth around it, 37 mulberry beads sewn on the dark Indigo strips above and below the butterfly, circling Orcas at the base, with sea horses on each side ( where the males are pregnant with the babies ) , and topped by pottery against mountains with emboridered Andes Mountains in the sky, to support the choice of Mother Earth's new placement for our spiritual teachers for the next 13,000 years. Spiritual Numerology is 7, with seven quilting lines coming out from the butterfly.

There is much energetic hand quilting lines, emanating out from individual elements, with infinity lines up the sides, and the center core being quilted during the Spring Equinoz 2010, then finishing at the end of the 260 day Dreamspell calender, and around my 60th birthday.

Backing and edging is a Mulberry organic cotton sheet from Gaiam, with 1/4" organic cotton batting from Near Sea Naturals, and a larger size at 65" by 84", with a little bit heavier constitution of materials.
