Winter Solstice

It was exciting waking up to a vision, to make a round quilt, for the solstice energies of 2007, and the conclusion of our transformational year.

Divided into 4 directions, turquoise - south, maroon - east, purple - north, and a dark indigo - west, with organic indigo for the arrow tips, on little sunflowers for centering and arrows, divided by dark strips with gold moons and stars, and green pine trees with a maroon star on tops.

A smaller size, at 60" wide, it's a delightful quilt, with circular hand quilting that gives it a spiraling feel. The backing and edge is an organic cotton mulberry sheet from Gaiam and a 1/4" organic cotton batting from Near Seas Naturals, with the remaning design from recycled materials.

The signing YAYA07, for this unique quilt, is on the back in the center, so as not to disturb the circular spiritual continuity of the design. Truely a quilt of balance, and economically priced at $250.00.
